Rabbit cooling in the rain
The rain finally came, quickly and violently. And Mrs. Ottawacker's nephew's son also arrived, more slowly and much more peacefully. Over the next days, he spent much of his time sleeping and, once I had got over my astonishment at his being released from hospital 72 hours after a major brain operation, I spent a lot of time registering my astonishment at how well he was doing. While it all depends on the outcome of the pathology, of course, and whether the 5% of the tumour remaining starts once again to grow, there is no denying that he looks well and was walking normally (if with a little help). Over the next days, this help was reduced rapidly, and if you hadn't known, you'd not have thought it possible that he had just been under the knife. So far, so good.
