One discarded fag end

Yesterday there was a grass fire in People's Park, fortunately the damage was limited by a prompt response from the fire service.

An eye witness has told me that 4 people were sat there, one put a cigarette out on the dry grass and up it went. The group tried briefly to put it out before legging it. 

With a children's play area close by it could have been much more serious.
