View across to Plymouth Hoe

Went to a memorial this afternoon at which we sang. A very lovely man who used to be a church warden a long time ago! latterly he had dementia and his wife, Ann, went in to see him every day! She was singing a song about going home when he died and today we heard from John 14 about the places that have been prepared for us by The Way, The Truth and the Light!

There was a lovely spread in the abbey hall after the service and then I accompanied a friend home on the bus which she has not yet done alone.

This evening I went out for a walk to the end and saw a happy sight of colours chasing each other up and down a pole! I took my phone out to capture the moment but the colour display had stopped! I suspect it might be to do with the fireworks championships which take place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings this week starting at 21.00 when it gets dark!

So here is the view without the colourful spire, can just see the shape of the installation to the right of the left hand tower!

We had a few drops of rain today but looks set for a deluge tomorrow!
