Far From the Madding Crowd......

The novel by Thomas Hardy (Yes he did have to look it up) came to mind when we spotted this. Of course the tide was out or he would have been getting very wet and it was intriguing to see he had brought his bike too.
WE went to a U3A meeting (University of the Third Age) this morning (extra) and it was an alarming talk by an NZ  bloke who was Director General of the world Anti-Doping agency for 15 years. It was a total eye opener about what lengths (and $$$) some Countries and Sports people will (and do) go to win.
