A new crown
At 8am this morning I was in the dentist’s chair getting ready for the procedure to install a new crown where previously there had been a composite covering. Just over two hours later the composite had been drilled off, a crown made and checked for fit, then fired and fitted permanently.
I then did a couple of hours work before it was time for my Pilates class. That done, we picked up my daughter from an appointment and took her home. And so the day flew by.
Tonight it’s raining … again. The South Island (mostly the West Coast) is in for a real drenching of up to 500ml in the next 24 hours.
As we were driving my daughter home, we stopped at a red light and I spotted the eyeware shop with the interesting display, so took a quick snap for today’s blip.
There are 4,811 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 4,073 compared to 5,120 last Tuesday. The number of people in hospital is 533, including 12 in ICU. The seven-day rolling average increase in total deaths attributable to Covid-19 is 13 and 1,782 deaths have been confirmed as either directly attributed to Covid, or with Covid as a contributing factor.
