New gloves and a star of the week

Swimming for the boys this morning. Bear was Not Keen At All. He cried as I tried to take his teeshirt off. I decided it wasn't worth the trauma and we'd watch this time. Bean, complete opposite, could hardly wait to get in the water! Got "Star of the Week" because he'd not been since November and leapt right in. JUMPED into the water, dunked himself from the off happily, swam and swam and swam, told his teacher he would do the pray shoot circle (breaststroke) all by himself, and did. When he sticks his face in the water his body position is brilliant. And then he was the only one in the (admittedly tiny) class to decide he was going to dive for a dive stick, and not only that but dived THREE TIMES for the stick and dolphin (missed the first time). This kid who wouldn't even stick his face under to get a stick within reach last year.

He's been practising :) When he has a bath he practises touching his nose to the bottom of the bath, and gets me to count how long he can hold his breath! He's amazing.

Hope Bear grows to love water just the same!

On our way home we called in at the bike shop to get Bean a new bike helmet, as he refuses to wear his old one because it's too small now. He got these awesome gloves while we were there too, he is most pleased with them!!
