Murky
Although it was very misty, this morning was the coolest it's been for a while. So I persuaded Mr Flossmo to forgo his second cup of coffee and we were down at Frensham Little Pond shortly after nine. There was barely a car in the car park and only a few people around. Although it was cooler than of late it was very humid and it wasn't hard to work up a sweat as we walked uphill to the top of the ridge between the ponds. A tiny breeze made it bearable.
The extra shows some of the wild and not so wild life we encountered along the way. I especially liked the little toads, (there were a few hopping about) and the two little dogs patiently trotting behind their jogging owners. The one that got away was a little rabbit or hare that I clearly startled. It made two big leaps and disappeared into the undergrowth. We enjoyed a well-earned rest in the Little Pond Cafe and Mr Flossmo finally got his second cup of coffee of the day (as well as a big pain au chocolat).
This afternoon we were treated to some wonderful rain. There were distant rumbles of thunder, too but nothing too close by. The rain was particularly wonderful because it was quite heavy at times without being torrential. The grass already looks like it's perking up a bit. As Oliver Twist said please may I have some more.
