New Life
The eucalyptus which was severely pruned at the end of June has surpassed expectations in it's ability to make new growth. Shoots have erupted all over what was left, attractive grey-green rosettes of shoots which have quickly lengthened. The overall effect is quite pleasing although it's making me think that it will need further attention in years to come! The blip is of a recent eruption, others have grown much longer.
A work day at Kings Cafe, Wharf station. A different kind of food offer to Aber Cafe. At Kings we serve breakfast and lunch menus as well as snacks and drinks. Eight hours of washing up for me as when they are busy, that's the best place for me. It is different if I work there more often and when it's less busy but I don't work there often enough really - and I'm happy enough with my hands in the sink as long as I get fed occasionally!
I did have a lunch break today - just enough time to go and see the physio again about my dislocated finger which is still something of a handicap. I've now got an appointment to see a physio in Dolgellau who is more expert on hands. No hope of a quick fix though.
Food with Katie, short walk for Meg. Time with Jamie, chat to Ruth. Bed.
Birmingham by car for the day tomorrow. Rail strike. Hmph.
