Purple & Gold

We actually picked two aubergines this morning - yay! - we were late starting them as we had to re-skin the polytunnel in the spring, but it's good to see them - & hopefully we'll get more as there are still plenty of flowers. I've been wanting to photograph the latter but they're quite shy things & seem to hide with their faces bowed, either low down or behind the foliage. I did manage to get this with the important parts in focus - & without stepping on or damaging anything - with the macro lens this morning. Next time we'll have to plant them further apart so I can get a tripod in!!
