Friday Walk
There was plenty to do but we felt like a break so went over to Brandon for a walk in the forest. It was warm but not too hot - & there had been rain quite recently - so a pleasant scent of conifers filled the air. The Blip shows an area of forest which has been cleared & allowed to return to heathland, managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust for Forestry England. Heather is now well-established & usually provides a wonderful display at this time of year - but not this year, unless you like your heather brown. There were a few scattered clumps still in flower & this is one section towards the edge of the main area. A good walk, none-the-less.
