Furrowing

A new one on me but fun to do. A circle of fabric gathered up, tacked to the base fabric and then stab stitched to make the furrows. Lovely texture. 

The scrap of fabric I chose to use was quite old and yet familiar. I must have used it for something in the past but cannot remember what. It looks a bit like Laura Ashley. I used to buy a lot of that fabric - everyone I knew did too. We used to wait for the new designs to come out.
