Fighting flamingoes
Today JanetH and I had a fantastic day out at Martin Mere. We started with very peaceful canoeing around the reed beds and then went on to see the birds from the hides and the water birds. Near the end we came across the flamingoes who were obviously pairing off and there was lots of fluffing up and displaying as well as some fights. The female in this picture was paired with the male on the left but the one on the right was prepared to fight for her attentions! We then went back to Janet's and started editing our photos from the day. My husband is out until late tonight so as I was not in a rush to get home we had a take away Indian which was delicious.
Thank you very much for everyone's good wishes for MiL's funeral. It went as she had wanted and was very meaningful to everyone who attended.
