Rain, rain, come again do
Just had to blip evidence of a rare event this year in Cambridgeshire! I woke up early this morning to the sound of cars sloshing through puddles in the road and although I’ve loved this summer (not the horrible days of 38/39/40/41C!) this change is very welcome.
I don’t think we’ve had any rain for about 8 weeks. Now we’re back to the beautiful blue skies and much gentler temperatures in the mid-20s and it’s very nice. The best collection of raindrops in the garden was on a favourite nandina (or heavenly bamboo), it captures moisture rather like a lady’s mantle but with added colour.
Extra: this happy rose is called the Generous Gardener and is such a pretty, fragrant, reliable plant. It has flowered since early June and shows no sign of going to sleep, so it’s really a generous rose.
Happy weekend to you all and thanks for all your Albi comments and stars. I’m still catching up - story of my life it seems :)))
