A shell of of its former self

By lunch time yesterday i had found a composition to ,match the criteria i had set myself. Shoot wide open/ Aim. try and achieve sharpness @ 1.4.
My tripod was set up. I left vowing to return that evening refreshed from my rest.
And on my return a a white sky, making shooting wide open a little easier. I shot @ 1.4 1.8 2, 2.8, 3.5, 5, 5.6
you will never see on a jpeg unless i were to crop from 36 m.p down to 1m.p. That i have done. But to be honest it is still not sharp @ f4 on a tripod.
it was windy hence high iso and shutterspeed
