Brunch in the sun

It’s been really warm again and a lovely sunny day - bringing people to the beach in shorts and T-shirts.  Hubby and I caught the bus to Mission Bay to meet friends for brunch.  It was lovely to sit in the sun enjoying a delicious meal and chatting with our friends, whom we hadn’t seen for a while, although it was almost too warm in the sun.  The food was excellent and beautifully presented (see blip). Hubby and I walked home afterwards.

As we sat in the sunshine the car in the extra pulled up at the traffic lights, so I quickly took a couple of photos.

More rain has been forecast for Nelson tomorrow and the long, laborious clean up has begun.

There are 2,100 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 3,733 compared to 4,302 last Sunday. The number of people in hospital is 436, including 7 in ICU.
