Celebration

Our friend Doug celebrated his 90th birthday today and we were there to help him mark the occasion. We had another long drive to get there, but it was worth it to join a very happy party in Doug and Angela’s daughter’s garden. She had put up a long marquee and we all sat at a long table. The daughters produced a splendid feast with a huge seafood selection followed by cheese, then dessert then birthday cake. There was plenty of bubbly to help it all down. Doug gave a speech telling us all about his long ninety years. A lovely party for him.
