A Day Late

Today (although I write this on the 21st) I was exhausted. I really didn't accomplish much and eventually made my way over to Sauvie Island for a volunteer party for the botanical garden. I thought about not going, but it was awfully nice to see my delightful plant buddies and have some great food. When I got home I was so exhausted that I went right to bed (granted it was 9:15!). The only shot I took was of this Calycanthus occidentalis or Western Sweetshrub in the parking lot (burned from the previous heat as you can see).

Thanks again for your continued good wishes for me and my family following my mom's passing. I'm so grateful for this amazing community. xoxo
