Sorata Mirador

We set off early to walk to the caves in Sorata, which was going well until we came across a 'Danger zone of explosions' sign, and spotted a digger perched on a cliff breaking down the cliff to widen the road! They were making huge landslides of rocks down the hill, so no cave walk for us! We decided to walk up to a viewpoint instead, at the top of a hill. It took us a few hours of tough steep climbing, but when we finally reached the top the view was amazing!! It was a shame that the snowy mountains were covered in clouds.

We came back to la Paz later that afternoon in a packed minibus, that picked up and dropped off lots of locals along the way - some of which hitched a lift on the roof!
