Standing Guard

This little lady (?) had already eaten, but I guess she didn't want anyone else to do the same.  She stood guard for awhile to chase away any others and even after she left, she kept coming back for any intruders so she must have been watching from somewhere else.

Rainy Sunday, we need it and it was a good chance to just chill out at home. The house and fence had been power washed on Thursday (that's a new twist on things) but with all the construction and moving of soil, it had all gotten pretty dusty.  The fence was in preparation for staining it to preserve it, but now there is a stretch of damp weather ahead (not the best for painting) so it sits waiting for a dry spell.
