If the cap fits....

At last, after three years (this is the good old C of E after all) the Birmingham Diocese Clergy Cricket Club caps have arrived. And today, wearing them for the first time, something very rare happened. We drew a cup match. Lichfield, our fiercest rivals, scored 191 in 40 overs. And then, with a six needed of the last ball, the unexpected happened. Associate vicar of Knowle, Richard Trethewy, hit a towering boundary! Yours truly scored a helpful 2! It was icy though. Cricket season starts in 10C. But the sun shone too. Great day. Being on Coventry on May 13th.
