Lombadina Bakery
I woke early this morning to make sure I could watch volunteers Sue and Neville weave their magic at the Lombadina Bakery. These are the precious loaves of bread just before they go into the wood fired oven that is over 100 years old. The bread tins are the original and probably one of the reasons that the Bread tastes so amazing. It was great fun seeing them go through the process and then the final reveal (see extra) when the loaves come out of the oven, and they looked amazing. This has been a long held tradition at Lombadina and these 24 loaves are much sought after. I was delighted when I was able to purchase one after they arrived at the Office. I was told quite definitely that if I didn’t line up at 8.00am sharp I may well miss out. Well most of you know how competitive I am so the challenge was on and I made sure I was outside that office door well before 8.00 :). Believe me, the bread is absolutely delicious. There is nothing quite like wood fired baked ANYTHING and bread was just wonderful.
Sue and Neville have been coming to Lombadina for many years and are obviously very well respected by the community here. They take great pride in creating their product.
