Greenshank #76
We had a morning at Woolston Eyes today. Very quiet, but we were saved by this handsome greenshank that dropped in for all of 30 seconds. Just enough time to get a few shots before it flew off again.
We also took a walk to the new Bed No.4 that has been developed to encourage waders in particular. We definitely chose the wrong way round to walk as it seemed miles until we got to the viewing platform, and then all we saw were ducks and coots! It was a much shorter route back to the car.
Reminder that tomorrow there is a blipmeet at Widnes Butterfly House at 10.30am . I will be around from before 10am, so when you arrive, just try the door - it will be unlocked. I'll be in the glasshouse or garden somewhere - see you there :))
