Lagging Behind Again?

This solitary Greylag (Anser anser) was happy to be blipped today. They are the wild ancestor of the domesticated geese and it names refers to the fact that it's the last bird to migrate (lags behind)

This Greylag seems to be enjoying the sunshine and looks very proud. I just love the barred appearance on it's back.
