Spicebush Swallowtail

Today was a neurology follow up appointment for me up in Raleigh and so we left the house just before 7 am.

My check up was thorough (almost an hour long) and went very well. Things appear stable and so no changes being made to my treatment. Yay!

We stopped at Crabtree Mall in Raleigh to pick up lunch to go from The Cheesecake Factory and who did we meet just outside? Birgit and her daughter! Today is Birgit’s birthday and she wanted to go shopping for the day so they were in Raleigh.

On the road home we stopped at a rest area for bathroom breaks and I spotted this Spicebush Swallowtail puddling in the parking lot.

I’ve done a bit of bead weaving but waiting on my Mum’s input before I proceed (see extra)
