Surprise!

We thought this lovely volunteer vine on the garden fence was a birdhouse gourd vine. We were surprised to realize there is a PUMPKIN growing into the garden fence! I do mean into the fence. Look closely and you will realize it has grown through the fence and is now supported by the fence. We are just going to leave it. We will probably have to cut it out of the fence when it’s mature. Quiet day. It’s rained all day with more storms coming. As the old folks say, I can feel the storm in my bones.
