Bee keeping

I thought it appropriate to blip another bee today, what with them being in the news. I got a few honey bee shots but kept coming back to the cute and cuddly ones.

Did you know that there are 24 different bumblebee species in the UK? My favourite newly-discovered bumblebee fact is that after feeding they leave a scent on the flower which helps other bumblebees to avoid wasting energy
landing - the flower will contain very little nectar or pollen. More here if of interest.
