Sunbiggin Tarn

We haven’t been up here for quite a while, but as Rob needed to visit Orton for a secret mission we thought a walk round would be good.
The Heather is all in bloom and smells delicious! There was a good breeze blowing as usual but it was very pleasant and peaceful. We heard a whimbrel calling in the distance and there were a few swans and grebes on the tarn.
We stopped in to fill up with fuel ready for a trip down south, that’s a painful experience these days isn’t it!
