Wounded soldier
While we were on our walk yesterday, Hector was set upon by an aggressive Pointer. After the incident (which Selina and I heard but didn’t see), the woman walking it actually called us over to check that Hector was okay and said she felt the Pointer should be muzzled but that it was the owners who had to make that decision. We did point out that it would be helpful to have it on a lead too. Anyway, Hector seemed fine and carried on as usual.
However, this morning Mr DA noticed a sore area on Hector’s side and, one trip to the vet later, we have antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and a £100 vet’s bill for a dog bite. Hector is fine, which is the main thing, but I might put a sign up where it happened in case I can get hold of the dog owner’s contact details - and to warn other dog owners.
