pivotal
Today felt like one of those days - a solstice or an equinox (though it was neither) when you can feel the world turning and the seasons changing. It began with a misty morning, and we were awake early because it was D's first day at college. He is back to study for an HNC in Art & Design, and it's a full time course, so quite a commitment.
The mist burned away by mid morning and I cycled out to get some blackberries to make a crumble for tea tonight.
Then Sarah, Jess and I had a Day Out. It's Sarah's last day here before she heads down south and back to work. I really wanted to go to Rough Island - we had been going to bivvy there but have run out of time so just went for the day and the weather and tides were perfect. It was a bittersweet outing for us both, but not for Jess, who was just as happy as could be :-)
