Snowflakes

Another of the early signs of autumn springing into flower in the greenhouse.   Acis autumnalis, a little bulbous plant native to Spain, Portugal and North Africa.   It was happy out in the garden in Norfolk for many years, seeding around gently.  It's early days here in Wales, too early to tell how it will fare but it will definitely need protection from the winter winds.  I have a couple of pots of seedlings under glass, these included.  (By conicidence, I blipped it out in the garden exactly one year ago but it's featured before as long ago as 2013.)

A work day at Aber cafe, not as busy as of late.   It's been beach weather here today but it's also the end of the holiday season very soon.  In a week or two we'll be back to a more gentle pace and who knows what the future holds as talk of the cost of living crisis becomes a harsh reality for many.   At least my horticultural hobbies are largely self sustaining and the cost per unit of my green fingered hours is low :-)
