Energy price cap

The energy price cap was doffed today. No one was impressed. Unsurprisingly no one from the Government was available to try to reassure us all that it was not going to be as bad as it looks. Because it is.

Our response was to panic buy a slow cooker! We used to have one until the lid broke. We aim to recoup the cost of its purchase within the year through not firing up our whole fan oven for a one pot meal.

We also sought in vain for a tasteful draught excluder and two hot water bottles. Our search will continue!
