August sunshine

After a week of mainly warm cloud the sun returned today with some great late summer heat. In fact at the back of our rental house it was almost too hot as we enjoyed a garden lunch!

A productive morning of admin and a quick nip into town in the early afternoon. We walked 10k in the late afternoon and encountered this heritage diesel burbling its way home to Broadway with the last round trip of the day.

Watching the news from Afghanistan this evening is beyond depressing.

The Paralympics provided some respite.

The Chineke Orchestra from last night’s Promenade Concert was a truly wonderful distraction.
