It Is Only A Matter of Time
Hubby got up around 7:30 and started the coffee. The forecasted rain did not materialize; breaking camp was much easier than expected. Hubby concentrated on the outside tasks. I packed up all the food and cleaned the interior. We still had quite a bit of ice cream; that became our lunch. Our checkout time was 1:00 pm. And we pulled out not long after. The trip home was uneventful. The temps got up to 90°F; it was stifling when we stopped for a short break. I decided to use the old Harry Nice Bridge for my blip. The new bridge is coming along nicely and this could be our last day time trip across it. Hubby and I traveled on this old bridge daily for many years going to and from work, 16 years for me, 14 for hubby. Once the new bridge is completed, the old one will be torn down. Residents of Maryland and Virginia want it to remain as a pedestrian/bike bridge but neither state is willing to accept it (free of charge) due to the high maintenance costs. We’ve had a lovely quiet time camping. We are really blessed to be able to just pack up and go whenever we want to. Gas prices have dropped so the drive was cheaper than we expected. Thanks for visiting. Wishing you some quiet time. Be safe. “The fate of the bridges is to be lonely; because bridges are to cross not to come stay!” ~ Mehmet Murat Ildan
