Limp

The photo shows a neighbour’s garden, but ours doesn’t look much better. I hadn’t watered it yesterday, hoping in vain for rain overnight. So I connected the pump to our cistern this morning and carried 23 full 10-litre watering cans into the garden to save the withering plants.

Just when I finished and closed the cistern again, our neighbour pulled up and told me: „It rained a lot in the city centre last night“.

That’s just three kilometers away, and we didn’t get a drop of water. So unfair!
