A quiet day

It is so quiet. I think everyone is either on holiday or at Dufton Show. I thought of going to the latter and decided against it this year. Gordon has gone to the football. And no one is cutting grass!!

My blip tells the story of a birthday gift we sent to our daughter a week or so ago. I found the tiny pestle and mortar on a stand of lovely things made by one of the Potters at Potfest in the Park a few weeks ago. You can see the space where the one I chose was. Joanne is a very keen cook and loves using spices. She has a pestle and mortar but I thought this one might be useful for small amounts. Anyway I liked it and knew she would like having it about. Then yesterday the picture on the right arrived - the gift in use - perfect!
