Roses from Birgit& Bert

A lovely little indoor rose plant from Birgit and Bert to grace my window ledge. I hope I can keep it alive having just managed to kill off the flowers on my orchid.

I may have been premature in saying yesterday there were considerably fewer tourists on the streets. I take it all back, there were still thousands to wade through as I took back an article to M&S this afternoon. I should have known better, thinking as I did that the Festival Fringe finished yesterday. Not so, tomorrow is the witching hour I now believe

The good weather continues and as I sat on the patio later, I got a phone call to say that there was a Merry Widow on the path at the foot of the garden waiting to speak to me. I must have just shut my eyes for a moment. Usually people just yell my name so it was a first to be summoned by phone. We had a catch up through the railings.
