The Yangtze River: 3 Gorges cruise

The weather was a little grim on our 3 Gorges boat trip, but this made for really atmospheric shots. The 3 Gorges houses the second largest hydroelectric dam in the world. Frank informed us that before the dam was built in 1990s the Gorges use to be much deeper (150 metres) so would have been even more beautiful than it is today, with a much narrower stretch of water. We did get a few comedy shots of my hair blowing crazily in the strong winds, however they weren't fit for blipfoto use.
