I didn’t blip yesterday because I helped my friend’s daughter move from Dublin to Arklow. I packed the car - drove to Arklow - unloaded and back to Dublin. I did this 3 times and by 8pm I was exhausted and didn’t take even one photo. I went to bed at 9pm and just crashed.

But up early for swim and chat and large fortifying breakfast to go to Dun Laoghaire for the Ukulele Hooley. In extras you will see the best thing since sliced bread… ukuleles and a harmonica - the Left Hand Band from Belgium. They were great. Plus Sage Harrington, the Rathfarnam Ukuleles , plus lots more.

Ukulele people love entertaining others, having fun and generally spreading good will and craic. I have yet to meet a cranky Uke player. I like how the players support other groups and jam easily with each other. Sitting down on the coast of Dublin with this music, the Sunday market, food stalls, secondhand books, art on the railings, and just a small jewellery purchase (cos I’m worth it), is a perfect Sunday.

Tomorrow is the 7th anniversary of my husband’s passing. He was a cool guy. Sunny disposition, loved fixing things, loved tinkering with engines, not interested in small talk, wanted to build a tower for me and him to live in and not answer the doorbell to visitors .. then he married me.

So I won’t blip tomorrow but pick some roses and put on his grave. Love and respect always

I’m behind with comments as per usual. I hope you all had as good a Sunday as I had.
