Crawton and Fowlsheugh

After a dull start, the weather changed to give us a warm, sunny day so we decided to leave the van at the campsite and walk to a nearby village on the coast. Unfortunately, the footpath shown on my 20 year old map hadn’t been used for some time and was thickly overgrown with nettles and thistles. However the adjoining field had been harvested so we were able to skirt round the edge and succeeded in reaching our destination .
There were lots of kittiwake and fulmar flying about as well as rafts of birds out at sea. Sadly, there was also a number of dead birds scattered on the grassy area above the conglomerate cliffs, presumably victims of avian flu, so we kept clear of those.
After our walk we took a quick trip into Stonehaven to pick up some essential supplies before returning to our lovely campsite to relax in the sunshine, a bit of a novelty for us.

Apologies in advance to those of you whom I normally follow if my comments on your blips are infrequent while I am on holiday.
