The long walk home!

The garage I've taken my car to for almost twenty years shut down a few weeks ago. I would literally trust them with my life but they've now retired and sold the land to a housing developer so it's been a bit traumatic trying to find someone else. Anyone who's ever compared quotes for car repairs, services, etc, will know that there can be several hundreds of pounds difference between them - with the only explanation being that some places simply think you were born yesterday.

I did a lot of research and found what ended up being a great choice and my car's now serviced and MOT'd - phew! It was quite a long walk to get home and back later but it was a lovely day, I went past the old railway station (see 'extras') and I definitely needed the exercise!
