Proud mummy!

It’s apparently ‘Relaxation Day’ so, of course, we’ve spent most of the day doing anything but, in the form of gardening and housework. We didn’t quite get the relaxation bit right but it’s certainly a relief to feel like we’ve achieved something!

This afternoon we took our daughter to a lovely village just outside of Dorking for her second jab. While we waited for her, my husband and son stayed in our new car, discovering what all the buttons did. I sat on a bench overlooking the village pond and couldn’t believe it when I saw these eight ducklings. I think they’re about five weeks old and I loved how their mummy was close enough to keep a careful eye on them but far enough away to let them explore and learn to be independent. Seemed a lot like what my husband and I are doing with our own children at the moment!
