Digging for gold

We planted these Maris Piper potatoes in the Spring and didn’t think they would grow to any size because of all the heat and drought conditions.  We did try to water them at the beginning but gave up when it got so hot and although we haven’t got a hosepipe ban in this area we would have  felt very guilty using one.  P decided to dig up a few and see what they were like and this is the result from three plants so we are really delighted.
