A clean pair of wheels

Our car is 2 years old on Thursday. It was due its service today. Despite the trip to Hampshire and back then to Lancaster and back it is in the category of “one careful old driver” as even now it has done less than 5,000 miles.

The service was straightforward and I had to wait less than 90 minutes. I whiled away the time looking at a risk register and planning the engraving of the trophies from last week’s show. For a break from all that excitement I wandered round the gleaming cars in the showroom. This wheel array made me reflect on the fact that it will never look like that again once the car is driven,
