Cheap and Cheerful

My little tub of self seeded violas are delighted to welcome the sun and warmth which has appeared this afternoon as if to send August out on a blaze of glory. It has certainly sent me to sit outside and lap up the heat after a chilly start this morning when I realise how cold the house will be if I’m miserly with my gas central heating this winter.
There can’t be many more of these lovely afternoons unless we get an Indian summer next month. It has been known but it might be pushing our luck up here in the north after what has been an impressive summer.
