Paddleboarding

I signed Josh and Laura up for a paddle boarding taster session today. How hard can it be? asked Josh. Turns out there is more technique to it than he thought. Laura was first to fall in, then went in a second time after a small nudge from Josh - she made him pay for that later. Annoyingly Josh proved to be rather good at it. I guess all those years as a punt chauffeur have paid off.

In the afternoon I left them to read and snooze at the house with an exhausted Juno and had a quiet afternoon swimming and reading on the beach. Later we went to the Beach House for dinner on the terrace where there was a dog at almost every table. The whole village and beach is amazingly accommodating of dogs, all of whom were very well behaved and there was no dog poop anywhere to be seen. As we walked home over the cliffs we realised they were thronging with rabbits. Juno was held on a tight lead!
