Children’s Hospital

So following on from my last blip, Zoe has been really going through it! She continued to have abdominal pain and a low grade fever, so in her parents took her to the doctor, who just referred her for an ultrasound, but they didn’t find any problem, just pockets of air and sent her home.

She continued to have pain and sometimes couldn’t even walk. So we encouraged them to seek a second opinion. This time they took her to the ER and there they did a CT scan and found a ruptured and inflamed appendix!!

So now she is having IV antibiotics and they are waiting for the infection to go down so they can operate.
What a shambles!

But she is feeling a lot better and enjoying her stay in hospital.
She is a”ray of sunshine” to all the medical people.
