Sparrowhawk #83
Looking at the weather forecast for the weekend, we decided on doing all the main reserves before the rain comes, so today it was off to Cley-next-the-sea. It's a good reserve, but was decidedly quiet today. That might have something to do with the bird in my main blip - a deadly Sparrowhawk. It was hunting for the whole time we were at the hides and kept on spooking the birds with it's superfast sweeps through the pools. Eventually most of them flew off elsewhere. After the first 2 hides, we walked the 3.5 miles around the reserve, including the long stretch along the shingle ridge which was quite hard going. No further shots were taken after we left the hides as there was very little in range, but it was warm and sunny with a nice breeze to keep us cool and we had a nice picnic along the way. What more can one want? :))
