Seven Spoonbills #56

After a few errands this morning, the weather looked to be dry for the rest of the day so we headed to RSPB Marshside.
I was delighted to find 7 spoonbills(extra) on the far bank in front of the main hide. We've missed out on quite a lot of birdwatching this year so it was nice to add another species to the list.
Unfortunately they were fast asleep for a huge proportion of the time we were there for and only woke up when a Heron dropped in right next to them.  By that time it was almost time to leave as they lock the gates to the carpark at 5pm.
One of the spoonbills decided to take a bit of a walk along the bank and then have a bath which was fun to watch. The other six went back to sleep!
