ridiculous to the sublime, & somewhere in-between

the ridiculous made me snort, with a kind of knowing guffaw,
the sublime made me happy that I had gotten up earlier
the in-between made me content that it's still standing

sublime journey back to the city - until I got on to the expressway 
with ridiculous tailgaters...
