Stromness Basin

You all still have time to get here.   For tonight, the Hoy Heritage Centre is hosting a talk about the Hudson Bay Co's past recruitment in Orkney.  It is sheltered under the umbrella of the annual Orkney International Science Festival.   You'll need to be good swimmers though, as the boat is fully booked.  Had a grand yarn with Wullie Tulloch out on deck today.  He informed me that Stevie Mowat bought a boat from Alton Copland.  Last time l newsed with WT I had breakfast with him in the Muir of Ord.  (CMC had to mind him on about this).  WR was getting off at Graemsay as he is fixing the roof of an old cottage on the top of the island.  The south east wind has put an end to Bibs' recent hunting burst.  Blanche is slopping out in Cornton Vale (details to follow).  This affords Desmond the opportunity to swan about in his silk dressing gown and deploy his cigarette holder.  He asked me if Scullion is available.   I didn't ask what for.  Fingers McAfferty is pedalling unicycles in Dulwich (as it slumbers).
